A trip through the Queensland rainforest

I love the rainforest - the amazing plants and trees and the lovely way it sparkles

Here is a painting I did called Rainforest Path .... I do wish the photo was better

It is sold in a private collection in NSW

About my Art

I work with a DSLR to take photos which I download, crop and photoshop until I am happy with the layout. Then I use my various mixed media to create interest while creating the painting.

These include but are not limited to:
acrylic paint (I favour Jo Sonya), patterned papers including text from old books and ads, texture medium, gloss gel (heavy), garnet paste, glass bead texture medium, Mod-Podge, Stazon Ink and stamps, crackle decor medium, varnish, fibres, graphics, words and chipboard.

Certainly a small photograph does not offer the range and vibrancy of the paintings and the scale is rather large (often a metre or more)

Like most artists - I am always evolving, changing, finding other things that work. Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoy my art.
